Ghy not try out some of these recipfs for warm punches to bring a glow to their cheeks (and yours)! You'll need a good-sized saucepan or preserving pan and a jug that won't break when you pour warm punch into it, and probably a sieve.   To prevent the glasses   cracking when you pour in  the punch either put a spoon  in them as you pour, or warm  them up beforehandN   

Heat the wine water and rum together Stick the cloves in the lemon and bake in a moderate oven for  15 mins. Add the spices to  the hfated wine and float  the lemon on top.   DON'T BOIL THE WINE MIXTURE   

P243 CEEFAX 243 Tue 30 Dec 22:50/11  6/7     GLOGG (14 glasses) is a Scandinavian winter warmer.  Yougll need a bottle of red wine and one of medium shdrry, 8 drops of Angostura Bitters, a cup of brandy and sugar to taste. Heat all the liquid ingredients slowlyN Add the sugar to taste and stir until  disolved. Put a couple of  raisins in the bottom of the  glass and pour in the Glogg.    Another recipd in a moment.. 
P243 CEEFAX 243 Tue 30 Dec 22:04/10  5/7     MISTLE NFMULL (8 glasses) is a rich warming favourite.  You'll need a bottle of red wine, 2 cups of water, 1 cup of sugar, 4 cloves, two lemons and a stick of cinnamon. Boil the water with the cinnamon, sugar and cloves for five minsN Add the thinly-sliced  lemons and stand for ten  minutesN Add the wine and  heat slowly.   DO NOT BOIL THE WINE.   
P243 CEEFAX 243 Tue 30 Dec 22:44/01  7/7     Port and nuts are an established tradition, but why not try PORT AND LEMON MULL (12 glasses) You'll need a bottle of port, clovfs, 1 pint boiling water, 2 lemons, 2oz lump sugar and mixed spicesN Stick cloves in one lemon and warm in a moderate oven for 13 mins. Heat port and add boiling water  and pinch of spices and  baked lemon. Rub sugar lumps  on rind of other lemon to  extract the zfst and add to  the mixture. Delicious!  
